Would you please explain how did you install private driver?...Did you install the headers before installing?

The log is telling that nvidia module was not loaded. Did you upgrade the kernel? Were you using a BT5r1 or r2 and upgraded to r3?..

If you installed the private Driver, it will be unusable in any kernel upgrade..You might want to download headers for the new kernel and reinstall again..But first you might want to uninstall the one you had installed.

What was the driver version you used?...

Also make sure that noveau has been uninstalled and blacklisted along with rivafb, vesafb, nvidiafb.

Type this to see if any of the fb are loaded: lsmod|grep 'rivafb\|vesafb\|nvidiafb' ......Post output.

    Please, need that info.
