Cannot burn iso in backtrack 5r3

I have tried both brasero and k3b to burn an iso of ubuntu to a dvd.
It says the iso has been burned successfully but nevertheless the disc remains empty when I check in folder and does not work.

Check the md5 to see if ISO is not corrupted. Then burn iso as downloaded on DVD at the lowest speed possible. Download ISO image from BT5 page is recommended.

Yes the file with BT5R3 is corrupt 100%
