    Just use bt~#installpkg after you down load it manually.

    Thanks purehate. I went and broke the thing anyway by trying to be clever and updating using the current repos. Now xserver is broke and I am going to re-install it as, being the newb I am, it will be quicker than trying to fix the libpixman issue (for me anyway). Oh well, the best way to learn how to fix things is by breaking them I guess! Cheers...

    I just used this same method to update to 3.6.11. Replacing the "3.5.x" in the URL with "3.6.11" of course.

    I just wanted to post this in case anyone was wondering if this method still works with the 3.6.x version.
