Have you check the bios to see if it supports USB boot?...If not, you will have to get a DVD unit...
Also, you might want to check asus homepage and see if you can update flash for the USB boot support if available.

I have a computer with Asus board K8N DRE. Doesnt seem to support USB boot ... or at least i couldnt do it.
The Cd drive can only read CD's , no DVD's ...
Any other way i can install backtrack on it ? i dont want virtual machine or virtualbox ...
I have ubuntu on this machine, i can put vista or xp too.
Any help please ?
