Default NETGEAR A6200 Wifi USB adapter

Just went out and thought I'd show off a little and bought the $77 Netgear A6200 USB wifi adapter to find out there's no way to load this on a linux machine -.-

Works amazing in windows and with "wrapper" I was able to download the windows drivers onto BT5r3 KDE 32bit however with no linux drivers for this device monitor mode cannot be enabled making this item close to worthless on BT5.

First time poster please feel free to reprimand.

I'm afraid it is not suported at all.

Refer to this page, please: http://www.wikidevi.com/wiki/Netgear_A6200

On the right side, there is a summary and it reads the chipset and linux driver..It shows "none"....

Sorry...But I'm sure you can return it and get your money back...

Maybe get an alfa 1 for 20 bucks at ebay, it works right aout of the box fot BT..But it's only an advice.

    Luck.

Omg yes, I already have wireless cards that work with Backtrack. I'm determined to have faster and larger connectivity however. Throughput went through the roof on my windows machine when I switched to this card. It's worth looking into a solution. I encourage those who have addressed this to share how!
