I have spent the last two days searching and trying tutorials on the internet for creating a PPTP connection in backtrack. I tried all of them but none of them work. I have network-manager-kde and network-manager-pptp installed. I have created a PPTP connection with NetworkManager but it doesn't connect. here the log after trying to connect:

Then i tried KVPNC, a client for vpnc. I created a PPTP connection, but it doesn't work either. here's the KVPNC's log:

I have also tried these commands:
root@bt:~/Desktop# pppd call kvpnc.vpn
Using interface ppp0
Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/2
LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
Connection terminated.

root@bt:~/Desktop# pptpsetup --create vpnm --server us6.myfastport.com --username ********** --password ****** --start

My vpn provider supports PPTP, L2TP and SSTP vpns. I'm new to linux and never heared of openvpn or cisco vpn before. I used to create a vpn connection very simply with windows and could select any of the three types of vpn with a drop down list, but now i'm stuck with creating a PPTP vpn connection with BT. So if there is a better way to create a L2TP or SSTP connection i'd be thankful if someone could tell me.
I also found this thread where people had similar problem creating a PPTP vpn with BT5 but unfortunately there was no answer from the community.
This is my ifconfig:

And this is my /etc/network/interfaces file:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
(i deleted other interfaces to get NetworkManger working)
thanks in advance
