I think I need a new Wirless PCI Network Card to use with BT any suggestions?
I have tried to search for pci and pci network card etc on this forum with no results.
My current card is:
Belkin 802.11b Wireless desk network card F5D6001 version 3001
It works with Kismet is BT live cd but the command in Airodump:
airodump-ng wlan0 -w /root/capture -c 1 --bssid 00:A1:74:26:17 -a
says it's not in monitor mode after kismet claims to have set it as, also in iwconfig it says it's in monitor mode...
Is this a symptom of a card not being supported ? Does any one know if this card is supported with packet injecting ?
Thanks
Mike

also..in that other thread...
airodump-ng wlan0 -w /root/capture -c 1 --bssid 00:A1:74:26:17 -a
is the incorrect command line. You have a Prism chipset correct? Your command line should be....
airodump-ng -w capture -c 1 --bssid 00:A1:74:26:17 wlan0
BTW..go to that link of the aircrack site I just gave you and do some research on the prism chipset. You'll see that for the
Prism2/3....
(PCI and CardBus only, driver patching required) NOTE: Prism2/3 does not support shared key authentication and the fragmentation attack. There is a critical bug which currently does name this a recommended chipset: http://trac.aircrack-ng.org/ticket/288. It may even affect other kernel versions.
or if yours is Prism GT...
it has to be FULLMAC not softmac and you'll need driver patching.
Save yourself the headaches and buy an airlink101 AWLC4130..its what I use and its only 20 bucks USD at Frys..and its ATHEROS chipped!!![]()

Thanks so much for your suggestions -=Xploitz=- =)
The reason I made another thread instead of updating my old one is, I updated my old one and it got no answers and I wouldn't find a thread suggesting a good pci wifi card for BT, I thought it would be a popular thread theme, People who want to know and search for pci will see this thread and find out.
I will buy the airlink101 AWLC4130 as you suggest =)
I'll also try the different command line and update the thread with any progress.
Cheers !
Mike
