    Default Backtrack Vmware and Wireless

    I use Backtrack via vmware 6 on my laptop. Backtrack automatically picked up my D-link card and set it up, which was nice since I did not have to fool around with the wpa_supplicant config file. However, I do not know how to change my essid, wpa2 passkey or anything without this file. When I tried to use this file it gave me an "operation" error and ap scan has failed error. Is this because I am using vmware with winxp wireless settings and cannot overwrite them? How can I change the wpa2 passkey in Backtrack? Or do I have to do it in XP which follows to Backtrack?

    My wpa_supplicant file has everthing in it:
    ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
    ctrl_interface_group=0
    ap_scan=1

    network={
    ssid="ssid"
    proto=RSN
    key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
    pairwise=CCMP TKIP
    group= CCMP TKIP
    psk="psk"
    }

    and I got all the error messages when I typed:
    wpa_supplicant -w -Dwext -ieth0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

    Thanks for the help.
