I am using Backtrack 5 r3 in VMware fusion.

I am facing a problem that I cannot install the rt73 driver for my usb wireless adapter (D-Link DWL-G122)

Here is the output when I typed iwconfig

root@bt:~# iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.

wlan0 unassociated Nickname:"rtl_wifi"
Mode:Auto Access Point: Not-Associated Sensitivity:0/0
Retry:off RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

eth0 no wireless extensions.

However I cannot gain any internet access via this usb even I typed the correct password for my wifi

Then I followed the instructions on the aircrack-ng.org to install rt73 driver but sadly fail.

I saw some guys said rt73 has already been installed in Backtrack 5 and they can use it without installing any drivers but I don't know why my usb doesn't work. Can anyone help me? Or should I buy other usb with other chipset?
