    Default Backtrack as main OS on a netbook?

    Hello, I'm new to the forum, so excuse my "Newness"

    I have a Acer Aspire One netbook that's a little over a year and half old.
    I replaced it 6 months ago by building a rig, so the netbook isn't doing anything.

    It's slow, and laggy, but I was wondering if I DBAN it, would it be able to run backtrack 5 as its main OS?
    I know its not designed for that, so what would be the problems?

    I realize this question might make no sense, like I said, I'm new to this.

    Thanks.

    Install BT5 into a USB stick and try it...Read wiki on how to install BT5 in a USB stick.

    Thumbs up Re: Backtrack as main OS on a netbook?

    @AntBad

    Netbooks are enough for BackTrack 5's system requirements.

    I also use BackTrack 5 on my netbook. But I don't recommend using it as a main OS. As you said, it's not designed for this.
    Install it alongside your OS and use with GRUB.

    Ps: Technically, you can use it as a main OS but you must make some configurations (adding user, adding repos, installing codecs etc.) before using it.
