    Unhappy Live USB Stick Problem

I've tried installing bt2 on my USB stick I put the compact or live version on and it seemed ok but when i tried booting from it i got a error message saying something like could not find kernel image.

    What is wrong with it?

    1) Is you BIOS set to boot from USB devices?
    2) What tutorial/instructions did you follow (or if you didn't then post the steps you took to make the bootable USB key).
    3) What's the actual (exact) error message?

    Default Live USB

my bios must be setup to boot from usb because i got this error message:
    SYSLINUX 3.51 2007-06-10 EBIOS Copyright (c) 1994-2007 H. Peter Anvin
    Could not find kernel image:linux
    boot:

i thought i would give you the whole thing because every bit can help
and when i press enter it just repeats "Could not find kernel image:linux"

I can't remember what tut i followed for the install so i will just tell you what i did.
    1. extracted bt2final.iso to the root directory of the USB.
    2. i then went to the boot directory in my usb stick and ran bootinst.bat.
    3. rebooted my laptop and got the error message.

I don't think bt2final.iso download had any problems because i managed to burn a live cd from it and it works fine.

I used Shaman's software for the usb prep (Shaman, thanks for coding it, btw, it helps the noobs like myself). It seemed to work pretty well as far as formatting, installing, and making the usb drive bootable but I'm having the same problem. I tried typing the command bt and got the same error. Anyone have any ideas?

I used a guide that I found on a site called "pettingers.org" and it worked perfectly. It assumes you're computer is running Windows and suggests you format the drive with Fat32. I would post the link, but apparently I'm too much of a noob to be allowed.
