getting online

Hi

Am new and this sure is basic !!

I have made a cd with the iso and run it up on my laptop, had a play I got interested so would like to do more.

My problem is I cant get online, I am using a zoom adsl usb modem with a conexant driver in vi$ta on the same machine and surprise for vi$ta it works no problem.

Can someone help me out, tell me the process I should be following from boot to get up and running please ?

What's the exact model of the modem?

Its the zoom 5510A am using the xp drver for vi$ter whch you have to conect through
