    Exclamation Wicd won't reconnect

Hi, I've been having problems with WICD. It randomly disconnects and doesn't auto-reconnect even though I have auto-reconnect enabled:wicd.png
I was wondering how to fix this. I use BT5R3 32bit KDE. I would put the log up, but I can't find it.
    Thanks in advance!

I have an Atheros AR5008 Card (don't know the chipset) connecting to a WPA2 Personal network. I use a dual-booted Dell Optiplex GX270 with windows xp and BT installed. Hope this helps!

    please, post output of :
    1. lspci | grep -i network (at the beginning of the line you will see the pci id in format of: xx:xx.x)
    2. lspci -vvs xx:xx.x (at the end of output, you will see the driver used by kernel....

try using wep authentication to see if also is having issues...

Open up a terminal and type those commands a posted...About WEP authentication, open up your router, I mean to edit the router configuration and change the authentication from WPA or WPA2 to WEP, and try to connect again from BT5..

I tried that, but it didn't work. It seems to be a problem with how I have WICD configured or something like that

    Here's the lspci outputs:
    Network.jpg
Where would the iwconfig be located? I hate how you can't search for files without looking through every folder!

iwconfig is a command..One more question, you said you were using wpa-wpa2..If so, try this:

Open up a terminal and type:
    rmmod ath9k
    modprobe ath9k nohwcrypt=1

    Try again to connect.
