I'd like to have local "mirrored" versions of several useful websites available offline.
Any recommendations?
wget?
I found a program called "pavuk" but having trouble meeting dependencies:
Suggestions and/or recommendations are appreciated.bt ~ # pavuk -X
pavuk: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
use this........really cool......
http://download.httrack.com/cserv.ph...httrack.tar.gz

Teleport pro for windows and wget for unix. Prez I have a explanation in a book that explains the wget method if you would like it
http://spiderzilla.mozdev.org/
Firefox extension too! (apparently broken for linux...boo!)
"\x74\x68\x65\x70\x72\x65\x7a\x39\x38";
If I am doing that under windows, I tend to use Teleport pro.
I have not tried too many under linux, but WebHTTrack is the best I have found so far. Not tried it under BT yet but as you brought this up, and reminded me about it, I will probably try it soon.
yep its a wonderfull software really !!!
i used it for years in windows.....
will build a module.......may be useful(with the firefox extension too)
by the way Balding_Parrot it's the same as me
winhtttrack=win version
