    Default open aditional shell/terminals in backtrack 5 on vmware player

    Hi just wondering (noob here) how to open more shells/terminals in backtrack 5 running on vmware player. is there a command? like ctrl+t
    or something..the videos i have watched the user seems to just click an icon in vmware player but i dont have that icon?

    I don't understand exactly what you wish to accomplish, there is a terminal icon inside of Backtrack on the toolbar.

    dont have a toolbar...would that be im launching backtrack 5 in wrong mode or something?basically..i want to keep the information i have open..and launch a new shell so i can refer back and forth...

    thanks for your reply...i cant see a terminal icon..is that because i launched backtrack in the wrong mode or something..?basically i want to keep the information i have open so i can refer back to it later...so i want to open an additional terminal..

    You can also use the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+T to open a terminal window, but IIRC VMware uses the Ctrl+Alt combo by default to return input control to the host OS so you might need to change your preferences in VMware Player.
