airodump-ng stop working after 30 min

I'm a little ticked off, the HCL at this url says the WPN511 works with BT2

Now, I've tried to get the WPN511 working and still no luck. The IPW3945 Raw Drivers work 100% better.

I've been using these commands on the WPN511 and still no joy.

wlanconfig ath1 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode monitor
ifconfig ath1 up

Constant problems as the capture just craps out.

Dunno what else to do besides put it back in the box and wait for BT3.

Any help out there ...

Hmm, setting the capture channel flag usually works for me.. I'm using the latest build of the madwifi-ng drivers.. Do you happen to know off hand what atheros chipset your card is using?

lspci -v shows the chipset as Ar5212 abg, which is why I bought this card.

I'm going to do a fresh install of BT2 to my HDD.

So, if you have the same WPN511 working then I'm willing to try some step by step instructions. What to install ?? ... What order ?? What commands ??

Did you try this:

I tested a small workaround (also posted here in the forum) with continous commands like "iwpriv ath0 sleep 0" I put in a script...

That works for me, with airodump and kismet.
