Nope, I just changed the name. Its not hidden, but he thinks it is.

Cool feature in your program having it tell you if the ESSIS is truly hidden or not.

How coule i see an hidden essid ?

I precise i have <lenght 0> and <lenght 6> for example

For the <lenght 6> essid, i could unserstand that is a hidden essid with 6 strings of character. But why 0 ?

Alright, if you after all this time have not been able to figure out the answer I think it is about time you are given some hints First of all when an ESSID is showing up like <length 6> it is indicating that the ESSID is 6 characters long, but cloaked, i.e. not transmitted. If it on the other hand is showing up as <length 0> it does not mean that the ESSID is 0 characters, but that the length of it is unknown as well.

Now on to the part how you decloak it. This can be done using several tools, but the easiest way is using either airodump-ng or kismet to lock on to the appropriate channel, and/or BSSID. And now you play the waiting game.

The program you are using will pick up the name of the AP as soon as somebody connects to it, the name of the AP is sent in clear-text at this point. There are other ways to do this, but at least now you have one way.
