btw, xploitz....if your essid is not really hidden...but just playing with its name....the decloaking tool will find in 1 secs...."ESSID seems not to be hidden....ESSID is....."
shamen I bet your tired of typing that. I personally have read like 3 threads on this subject in the last week in which you answered each time.

Nope, I just changed the name. Its not hidden, but he thinks it is.

To bad for me if he gets a hold of your Second Edition proggy...my fun will be over.

Cool feature in your program having it tell you if the ESSIS is truly hidden or not.

    Does someone explain me ?
Nope, I don't think anyone here can explain you.

We might be able to explain what you're seeing or what is happening. But humans (especially noobies) are very difficult to understand and explain.

    You think...

I can't explain me in English but "tu me soules grave". Stop to say "SEARCH, SEARCH, SEARCH !". It's not difficult to help people or get out and don't answer me.

I'm not the only one to think like that : pureh@te

Lot of months after this mail, i don't know the solution.
If you are lazy to give solution, give me just keys words...

How coule i see an hidden essid ?

    I precise i have <lenght 0> and <lenght 6> for example

For the <lenght 6> essid, i could unserstand that is a hidden essid with 6 strings of character. But why 0 ?
Alright, if you after all this time have not been able to figure out the answer I think it is about time you are given some hints First of all when an ESSID is showing up like <length 6> it is indicating that the ESSID is 6 characters long, but cloaked, i.e. not transmitted. If it on the other hand is showing up as <length 0> it does not mean that the ESSID is 0 characters, but that the length of it is unknown as well.

Now on to the part how you decloak it. This can be done using several tools, but the easiest way is using either airodump-ng or kismet to lock on to the appropriate channel, and/or BSSID. And now you play the waiting game.

The program you are using will pick up the name of the AP as soon as somebody connects to it, the name of the AP is sent in clear-text at this point. There are other ways to do this, but at least now you have one way.
