linksys wifi problem

hello folks, i recently installed BT5r3 ISO on a seperate harddrive, 32bit gnome. I cannot get my wireless adaptor to work with it. its a linksys WUSB54GSC version 2. I type iwconfig and it tells me no wireless extensions on lo, eth0, and eth1. i try airmon-ng and it merely says the chipset, etc and nothing below them. i have tried the command rfkill unblock all, it didnt work. i tried the etc/init.d/wicd start, it didnt work. i have searched and searched to see if this adaptor works, i cant find ANYTHING on it. any help would be appreciated.

with the broadcom chipset?

Ok then check that the card is compatible with aircrack-ng suite. The last time I checked the only card that look supported was the WUSB54GC not the GSC
