So did you try --fix-missing
Hi there,
I'm having issues setting up vnc4server and/or tightvncserver. I have searched this and solutions did not assist. I tried the suggested command in the error below and apt-get update but also did not help. Can anyone please advise how to rectify this issue?

I'm a compulsive post editor, you might wanna wait until my post has been online for 5-10 mins before quoting it as it will likely change.
I know I seem harsh in some of my replies. SORRY! But if you're doing something illegal or posting something that seems to be obvious BS I'm going to call you on it.
Forgive me if I am wrong as I am new here...
The error would seem to suggest to me a DNS problem.
Did a quick Google search on the error and found the following possible suggestions to check:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/15138...-with-hostname
http://askubuntu.com/questions/18398...ading-to-12-04
http://askubuntu.com/questions/19954...-with-hostname
Basically they are suggesting you check your DNS server configuration as at present your system is unable to resolve those hostnames.
As I say, I may be completely wrong so please feel free to correct me as I am here to learn as much as I can![]()
