I would stick to the official guides on the wiki.
Hi,
I'm a new French (so my English might be poor or bad) user of Back Track 5.
I have tried to use it on an usb key made with Sardu which is a multiboot usb builder.
When i tried to use it, i had to install it to access some program and the only option i had was to install it on my HDD. But i would like to just install it on my usb key to be able to use it as a real portable OS. My key is a 16Gb. I think i can make a new partition on my key if it's necessary but i don't know how to install back track and not even if it's possible. Thanks for your response.
I would stick to the official guides on the wiki.

Hi it's me again. I've tried to install BT5 on an usb key like explain in the wiki. First with unetbootin, but it did not work because when i tried to modified the program or the language installed for example, BT5 display lots of error on boot sequence and finally didn't boot. So i tried the second method with a virtual box and i followed all the instructions but this time, my usb key just doesn't boot. When i select it in my bios boot selection part, it just boot on Windows and not on my key. So i've re try but without modifying the syslinux.cfg file but the same problem again with my boot process. So i don't know what to do now. Thanks in advance for your answers![]()
