Metasploit Database Not Connected/Cache Not Built Problem

Hi,

Sorry if this is a noob question...
Whenever I load up msfconsole and try to search something, a warning appears saying the "database is not connected or cache not built".
Then when I try to search for an exploit nothing happens, it just goes back to the msf > prompt.

I reinstalled metasploit three times via apt-get and the same thing happened/.
I also checked the status of the connection via db_status - it is connected (it says postgresql connected to msf3dev).
I'm running Backtrack 5 with the latest version of metasploit.

Same problem here is solved by reainstaling postgresql! There is one post here how to install and start postgresql i am not the one who can explain it to you

Actually this happens to me sometimes, here all i have to do is to restart msfconsole andd everything works fine again

Do you have or had any issue with Exploit failed: can't add a new key into hash during iteration?
That is my issue now and really i cant solve it even with reinstaling bt, just installed bt5 but 32x version and problem still remains ..

Yeh i had that too, i believe it was a bug on revision 16050, just update it and everything should be fine
