Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2235 Not working

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a samsung np900x4c that came with an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2235 Adapter.
I installed Backtrack5 R3 and tried to install the latest firmware available from http://intellinuxwireless.org/?n=downloads.
Problem is i found drivers up to 2230. I installed following all proper steps.

Copied the file iwlwifi-2030-ucode-6 to /lib/firmware

then run "modprode -r iwlagn"
then run "modprobe iwlagn"

and then tried to bring the interface up: ifconfig wlan0 up.

What i get is:

Microcode SW error detected with a bunch of errors following.
Finally: unable to initialise device
SIOCSIFFLAGS: Input/output error

Can someone provide me with some feedback?
Is it because of driver incompatibility?

After taking a look at my dmesg during boot i noticed that the card was identified as a 6030 series instead of 2030.
Feedback from Intel Linux project recommended to upgrade the kernel to latest version but since i think this can be a pain
i thought that since the system detects my card as a 6030 then maybe the 6030 firmware would do the trick....

... and it did!!!

Download and extract the iwlwifi-6000g2b-ucode-18.168.6.1.tgz
Copy: iwlwifi-6000g2b-6 to /lib/firmware


"modprode -r iwlagn"
"modprobe iwlagn"
ifconfig wlan0 up

working!

I have a similar problem where do I download the files from ? Do I type in the terminal or do i use the link in your other post? am new so help appreciated have a asus 6000v using intel pro wireless 2200bg ,ethernet is working fine just can't get wireless working thanks

yeah i have followed these instructions but an error message came up saying module not found ???
