DE-ICE Disc 1.100: [SPOILERS]

Hi,
I've been working on the DE-ICE pentest cd.
Did nmap scan, found some open ports, ftp is broke so i tried to attack ssh
I did a hydra scan and found the adamsa password but when i write:
ssh 192.168.1.100 -l adamsa and I get the option to enter password I get a "permission denied" after i enter the password...any idea why?

I am not familiar with de-ice, however:

It is trivial to deny user access. Maybe as it is a test system that your user was easily found with a hydra scan but that user (adamsa) is denied ssh access!
Of course, the password might be wrong!
Of course, the port may no longer be open!
Incorrect choice of protocol (1 or 2) in your ssh client

Might I also suggest:
man ssh
man sshd

1. Try posting your question in the De-Ice forums, where it will be useful to all users of the discs.
2. Try ssh <user>@<host>
3. You might not have got the right username
