    Default It works fine so far, but there is noch .cap file..

    Hi,

    i got a problem which i will describe now:
    i installed backtrack 2.0 to my harddisk, without having any problems.

    then i activated my ipw3945, no problem;
    then i startet airodump-ng -w capture -c 6 eth1 and he startet to scan

    then i copied some files from my computer to my notebook which is connected to my wlan and after 5minutes i got 600000 packets.

    while i scanned and copied i started the deauth action and the arpreplay. now after waiting some time i wanted to try to crack my wep pw. but there is no *.cap file, i searched with the "find files" in "file:///root" and he just finds replay_arp-0831.....cap files, but not the capture.cap.

    so my problem is, that i don't find the file^^ maybe you could help me

    thx in advance

    Try typing dir in your shell. It should list the .cap files. Chances are it's named capture-01.cap :-P

    Ya, they should be in whatever directory you were in when you ran the scan.
