I have the cheaper S version, the standard aerial it comes with isn't anything above average but i also brought a 7dbi external aerial which has a magnetic base and its fantastic, no need to piss around with configuring or doing anything fancy to get it going in BT 2 just plug it in and away you go.
Something i found out when buying my external aerial which may help others was .... the higher the gain the better the range because the more focused the signal (not sure on the terminology on that one) which means you need to actually point it in the correct direction.
My 7dbi aerial has a 56 degree field left and right
