alright first off you said, other networks.

    wtf is "other" networks?

p.s. use google, we here are not very fond of helping people that use this ilegally, especially when they say it, or even hint at it.

    http://ettercap.sourceforge.net/

I'm fairly sure that site can answer all your questions about Ettercap.
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

When it comes to aircrack suite we don't point people to aircrack's site for help but we do for other tools in Backtrack. why?

He stated he didn't know how to use Ettercap. I pointed him to a location where he can get all the basics down on using Ettercap, if he has a question after that, we can help, but he should get his basic knowledge of the product from the home site.

We're not here to spoonfeed basic information, that should be researched by the person themselves.

This is an interesting statement please elaborate.

Also you only got 1 error, the rest of the info you quoted is actual traffic. Try looking up "DHCP" via google.

Since when has that been true ? I have personally pointed people to the aircrack site, and have seen other people do the same.

I for one am a huge advocater of going to the home site of the tool and getting my info there and I make it a point to encourage other people to do the same. Now if he would have asked how to use wireshark and ettercap together we would help out but he needs to learn some basics like why and how it works.
