its freezing!

...i have bt5 r 2 installed on my pc along side ms win7. My backtrack just keeps freezing any time i launch gerix or any other application that comes with it. It puts the whole system on halt n at dat point i will need a hard restart to get it running smoothly again.

Try using the latest Backtrack 5 R3.

No, I have the same problem with that and i have BT5r3. My problem is that whenever i randomly minimize or maximize things in the panel it will just freeze up to where i have to do a hard reset. I have BT5 installed on my laptop and BT5r3 installed on my desktop and it does the same thing for both of the computers.

Have you tried liveDVD?..Something else, how do you have your BT5 partition system file?...Wold you post the HDD map?...
