First of all, a device cannot be a partition. The mount option is to mount a "FILE SYSTEM"...A partition can be in a device but not the other way around.
If you downloaded the ISO, check integrity with MD5. Then burn it onto a DVD or CD....Boot with it..See if it boots..Same thing for the usb....
To make an USB install, refer to the wiki. Once you know it works, use the software to manage the boot menu (easy bcd).
Are you trying to include in the boot menu a liveCD?
I'm not sure if is possible...
I strongly recommend you to read and know more about linux...

Please, be more specific..Are trying to install in a USB?..What type of program did you use?...Did you check MD5?....Did you try burning a DVD and run it?....
