yes but testing the rates is useful.....some rates can give 100 some 0
if you want aircrack with all last options(database for wpa, test bitrates etc....,driver management)
you do need last version and it's only five minutes, we all work with dev version......

but you can stay with your old aircrack 0.9.1

I can't found the 1.0 version. Maybee I'm stupid, but I searched vainly.
Besides I am quite sure that the problem with the fake authentication still exist, when I updated to aircrack 1.0

Do you have any clients you CAN use to connect to another laptop that can generate traffic & practice cracking WEP WITH clients BEFORE you go & try WITHOUT clients - as I found this a lot easier - one system on browsing internet, other system on using back track & I got it working in about 3-5 mins

Just change ath0 - ra0 or what ever your chipset is, if you get it working - please post gratitude to Xploitz

No I didn't get it working. And I followed the tutarial but the result is the same.
Unfortunately I have no other computer with wlan. There is only my Laptop.

When you say you followed the tutorial which was step by step, where exactly does it seem 2 go wrong for you, or ''not work'' for you? if you use airodump-ng wlan (or what ever your interface is) can you tell me what results you get back.

Have you looked at Xploitz video tutorial on cracking wep via NO CLIENTS?

First i want to thank you all to teach me how to accomplish my objective.

Second i dont now the file i have to open with aircrack-ng with no arp injection i open the file like this aircrack-ng -n -64 --bssid Mac file.cap.

Wel i try to open the file cap and i just get this:
bt / # aircrack-ng -n --bssid 00:12:17:B7:17:49 replay_arp_src-0829-235018.cap
Invalid WEP key length. [64,128,152,256,512]
"aircrack-ng --help" for help.
