But of course! And its the E-Z est way of them all!

Just type in your PSK in windows when it ask for your networks password, or if your in Linux...use my WPA supplicant tutorials for your networks specific encryption.

Wow!.,...this was the easiest question I have ever answered!

It can't be done. There MUST be a client connected.

If you think there is one connected or know one is connected but airodums says theirs not one connected...just do a massive deauth to bring it out of the woods.

    aireplay-ng -0 20 .......etc

just watched your video on cracking wpa/wpa2
must say it was worth watching...however
i have 1 problem..i dont know squat about linux
im using a wifi way live cd.. the proceses in the video works right up to the last step where i need to access a dictionary.... i have random text lists of the english dictionary but dont know where to put them on the cd (assumes you have to add them to the iso of wifiway) or what to call them or how to access them with aircrack... please could you see it in your good self to tell me how?? many thanks

Put your list in your "Home Folder". Thats where thy are in my video tutorial. Make sure you follow it VERBATIM. The path will be the same, but I'm sure your dictionary names will be different than mine.

As far as adding your dictionaries to your BT2 or BT3 ISO..theres several threads on how to construct modules and add them to the live cd. Just "search" the forums, and you'll find your answer. balding_parrot and shamanvirtuel have threads about this that come to mind.

home folder on a full install yes.. but on a live cd there is no home folder.. only a home lzm file which i cant mod... i can put the wordlists anywhere on the cd, all im needing is an alternative command for aircrack to tell it to look in a specific file on the cd for a dictionary.. ie. how do i tell aircrack to look in the modules folder for the dictionary rather than the home folder its set to.. see in the video you mention something about not having to type in the full path as its in you home folder. how would i ammend the code to look in my cd modules folder instead..

I have NO clue. I've never used Live cd before ...only HDD install. I think theres a thread called live cd with changes or something like that. Search the forums on how to add modules to the live cd.

Only other way is to try to "copy" the dictionaries from your cd or from another cd onto your BT2 install and put them in your / root directory...which is in essence the same as the home folder.

    Hope this helps.......

Why is Linux so complicated?? Because your use to Windows. It WILL get easier. I didn't think it would when I first tried Linux out 8 months ago.

Your only making it hard...its not Linux making it hard.
