Actually, it is currently impossible for a VB (or VM Ware) guest to identify correctly a wireless USB because of the complexity of the USB technology and due to some limitations on the VB programation (in fact, the problem is on the initialization of the device). There's an open Ticket on VB forums since 17 months and there's still no solution to this problem. it happens with windows XP, 7 and all sort of Linux distros (included Backtrack5) See below:
