Hi, is there a way to dim screen brightness when it is running on battery and when a certain amount of time has passed?

I have a sony vaio vgn-fs640. I googled but I got nothing. Any help would be nice.

There is usually an option in the bios to automatically dim the screen while on battery. To do it after a period of time, I am not sure, but a screensaver may be the only option if there isn't a power management option that will do it.
