Default Off Topic totally off topic

Some things I already know to save any silly remarks etc.

1.Backtrack is designed for penetration testing.
2.There are a number of programming languages already on the CD.
3.Apps need to be converted to modules.
    4.How to use google.
5.PHP is far superior to Coldfusion so please no Pizzing comps please.
    6.Every language has its place.
    7.My way around nix box.

I also don't care if you have no idea why I would do this when such awesome programming languages already exist within the distro.

Now what Im trying to do is install Adobe Coldfusion MX8 (this current version installs into any other nix distro without issue even thou Adobe only support suse and redhat). This would save me having to use VMware and remove a lot of over head while allowing me to write code while at work as this make me money and money=fun.

There are a number of other reason I have for doing this but that besides the point.

So far I'm totally rapped with the Backtrack install and Ive started using it as my main OS, its fast very fast and does what I want.

Some info about the CF distro.

    1.Its a binary file
2.After installing it via the setup app (which gets me through the install without any issues) the program hangs after running it.

Any help pointers tips etc would be great.

    Cheers

Well I know my way around many languages but like I said no pizzing comps please im looking for help and not advice like learn a new language unless you can pay me what Im on now using a free programming language that is.

I would expect a comment like that on digg not a forum where you would expect some level of intelligence.

    Default intelligence?

    intelligence or Intelligence...we have both.

This forum is dedicated to the BackTrack collection using the slax disribution.

It is not possible to compile the program you mentioned to the live distribution of BackTrack as licensing issues exist. You mention that Adobe support RedHat and SuSE.

Therefore one draws a reasonably intelligent conclusion that you should install RedHat or SuSE and run your ColdFusion from that platform. You may install BackTrack to the hard-disk or a usb device. You can use lilo or grub to manage any OS selection at startup.

For further advice contact Adobe support and quote your license number in any correspondence. http://www.adobe.com/support/coldfusion/

I own a number of Coldfusion licenses and I'm not using backtrack as a live CD thanks for wasting you time with the comment.

Notice under the General IT Discussion link it says 'Non BT Related Topics'

If haven't got something nice to say don't say anything at all.

Now you throw an insult at blackfoot

That is two too many insults for my liking, against people who were only trying to offer you some advice.

Go ask your questions somewhere else.
