Metasploit - The Penetration Testers Guide, Problem! Please Help!

Hi! I have this book and tried to nake virtual hacking lab using its instruction. I created the windows xp virtual machineand followed all instruction, even the vulnerabl webapp. when i entered http://ipadress/default.aspx in the browser nothing happened. also, internet is not working. what could i have done wrong?

You could have done about a billion things wrong. Without MUCH more information on what you're trying to achieve, what you've tried so far and how you've set your machine up, no one is going to be able to help you.

More details please. I quickly went through this book with no issues so i can assume that you may have done something wrong.

This is most likely the problem! I two have this book and have followed the instructions and it has worked perfectly.

On a side note, i wanted to comment to say this book is really old and alot of the code is outdated so dont be supprised spending alot of time researching the new versions of the code but dont worry its still a good read as it gives you the basics on how to use metasploit.
