    EEhh never mind...lol

    I'm not picking on you tom73...just really wish you'd make your questions more clear. It would alleviate a lot of friction. Just do what Shaman suggested and put it in your modules directory.

    so what's the difference between a "live" install and a "real" install? Am I correct to assume that a live install is booting from CD and a real install is having it installed on the hard drive?

    @-=Xploitz=-

    yep. no problem. I'll try to be concise in the future.
    So when you say "extract" the module, what do you mean by it?
    1) I could unpack the file and end up with a folder on my desktop or
    2) start it with the module manager and have it disappear from my desktop, because it is now installed in the file system.

    Also, I've tried putting it into my module folder, but can't find it. I'm running BT2 from CD. You guys were suggesting a USB stick. I'll try to get my SD card slot to work or hook up my iPod to it.

    btw.: How can I find out whether the module has been properly installed?

    thank you

    no you can have a live install (only the iso ) on hard drive too....

    in a live install the filesystem is unpacked each boot

    on the cd the modules dir is in /BT/modules/ ONTO the cd

    Don't tell me that no one is using this? Its not 2 hard for you guys is it? I was really hoping this one would catch on, but I suppose people are more interested in cracking WEP instead of WPA/WPA2 because WEP is easier.

    As long as I helped one person..it was worth it. Maybe your right? Who knows. I just really hoped this airolib tutorial would had caught on quicker than it did,,thats all. It's Kinda disappointing to see that people being able to crack WEP is this forums overall preferred "prized choice" over learning to crack WPA/WPA2..... Makes me very sad.

    Just updated the link in post #2 as I updated the the Aircrack version in the zip from r654 to r735 (latest version at 28/9/07)

    To save you needing to go to the second post you can also download the zip containing both modules from here.

    Excellent balding_parrot. Feel free to edit any of my post as well if you ever think it need it. You have my permission. One day..I'm gonna install that HD that my friend shipped me. Hopefully this week after I get done moving into my new house I bought. Then I'll be back in the saddle again.

    Give them time to learn or wait until more people are protecting the networks with WPA...It will take off in time. Your learning curve is above average, people will catch up.

    I surprised no one has mentioned compiling a local telephone number list for use in the wordlist, people love to use that as a key/password. Ive been thinking of scripting this, well here we go quick and drity:
    Code:
    ac="0"
    pre="0"
    zero3="000"
    zero2="00"
    zero1="0"
    i=0
    clear
    echo "------======NumGen======------"
    echo "-                            -"

    You know..I never even thought of telephone numbers...thats overlooked a lot I'm sure..lol. Good "eye" in pointing that out g1ic7h. And a good handy script. I'm sure I'll use that script sooner or later. Thanks for making it public.
