no reason to get mad. I did read the post.
Here is what I don't understand. Let's say I download hxxp://rapidshare.com/files/41948177/sqlite-3.4.0.lzm
where do I put it? I mean, how does BT2 know that I have downloaded the module?
thank you

should have been: "how does BT2 *know* that I have downloaded the module?"
big deal.
Firefox tells you when its downloaded..not BT2.
Ok..I've had my fill of fun with you.
You can do this 2 ways...right click on the lzm you downloaded, and extract it.....Or you can compile it yourself....like this
Code:
curl -O http://www.sqlite.org/sqlite-3.4.0.tar.gz
tar xvzf sqlite-3.4.0.tar.gz
cd sqlite-3.4.0
./configure --prefix=/usr/local
make
and at this point we need to edit the makefile
At the bottom of the original makefile you will find this:
Code:
$(INSTALL) -m 0644 sqlite3.pc $(DESTDIR)$(libdir)/pkgconfig;
tcl_install: libtclsqlite3.la
tclsh $(TOP)/tclinstaller.tcl $(VERSION)
clean:
rm -f *.lo *.la *.o sqlite3$(TEXE) libsqlite3.la
Which you need to edit to this:
Code:
$(INSTALL) -m 0644 sqlite3.pc $(DESTDIR)$(libdir)/pkgconfig;
tcl_install: libtclsqlite3.la
tclsh8.4 $(TOP)/tclinstaller.tcl $(VERSION)
clean:
rm -f *.lo *.la *.o sqlite3$(TEXE) libsqlite3.la
and thats it, you can continue as normal
Code:
make install
Or.....download balding_parrots zip file that contains a sqlite-3.4.0 module and a Aircrack-ng 1.0 dev r654 module. Both have been tested and are known to work.
You can download the zip containing both modules from here.
If this info doesn't help you....I can't help you any more..and I'm afraid no one else here can break it down any further for you than I just did.

use wiki for module related pb, all is explained inside...
a module is recognized when you put it in the bt/modules/ directory
of your iso or your usb.........
in a hd real install
lzm2dir file.lzm /
the trailing slash tells system to extract the files in module inside root (/ not /root) , it's the common way of install module designed for live into a real filesystem

btw. I think I found an easier way. Just download the file on your desktop. Right-click it and select the Module Manager. You will then be asked if you wat to install into the current file system and that it might take a while. That's it![]()
yep right but only for a live install....
uselivemod is broken in real install
and like that you will need to do that command each time..........i recommand you put it in your modules dir insteas.......
