Just in regards to the manual install of the sqlite, which is related to this topic.

I've ran into what seems to be a minor error that I'll figure out sooner or latter in regards to editing the makefile, which I believe I've done correct but the make install command is not firing up!

I have a post regarding this if anyone could share some more interest and light upon this for me besides installing BT3 and I could continue

Why go through all that trouble?? If you just installed the sqlite module of Balding parrots here http://rapidshare.com/files/41948177/sqlite-3.4.0.lzm and used my above command....your good to go bro!! Just type in

    aircrack-ng

after you installed the module and see if at the end of the output there is something that says

    -w words

if not ...redownload and install this>>>

    svn co http://trac.aircrack-ng.org/svn/branch/1.0-dev/ aircrack-ng
    cd aircrack-ng
    gmake SQLITE=true
    gmake SQLITE=true install

and then reinstall the sqlite module,...then run the command aircrack-ng and see if -w words is close to the bottom.

Another way to see if sqlite installed is the command...

    sqlite3 -version

    Hi again

Has any one came across aircrack-ng -r psk-01.cap ending erratically or prematurely at 1:30 or 2:41 etc and not finding the correct WPA key.

This is the issue I'm facing after successfully creating 3 database files 1 of 20mb and the others over 1G. They seem to end well before aircrack-ng completed checking all passwords. I purposely put the Belkin 7300 wireless G WPA pass at the end of the pass list just for this problem.

and airodump-ng states handshake for my AP. very weird indeed.

    Default airolib-ng SUCCESS

1ST OFF, MANY THANKS TO -=Xploitz=- & Balding_Parrot for sharing their knowledge on how to do this, the way I managed to do this is listed below, **apologies if the entry is too big, i didnt want to miss anything out**
    1st of all I downloaded sqlite-3.4.0 & then aircrack 1.0 dev.
I captured my handshake in about 3 seconds, &
I then ran below command but for some reason it doesnt like it, it doesnt seem to Create the DB file? I called it's bluff & tried to import the essid & it quickly said, testdb doesnt exist, creating it & it then created it for me in /root
When I get to the bit where i type airolib-ng testdb - - batch it took around 5 mins prob's because I was using a 2.5mb file, but it worked

So I sat with a big grin on my face knowing that once again-=Xploitz=- you have taught me another valuable lesson with your amazing video tutorial

***ONLY ONE QUESTION IF ANYONE CAN ANSWER?*** You will notice i have to add a - - before every command the way it shows in 'operations below', not mega important, but -=Xploitz=- you seemd to be able to create a db without any bother & without using the - - commands, anyway it works im happy

    bt ~ # airolib-ng testdb init

    Airolib-ng 1.0 beta2 r918 - (C) 2007 ebfe
    http://www.aircrack-ng.org

    Usage: airolib-ng <database> <operation> [options]

    Operations:

--stats : Output information about the database.
--sql <sql> : Execute specified SQL statement.
--clean [all] : Clean the database from old junk. 'all' will also
reduce filesize if possible and run an integrity check.
--batch : Start batch-processing all combinations of ESSIDs
    and passwords.
--verify [all] : Verify a set of randomly chosen PMKs.
If 'all' is given, all invalid PMK will be deleted.

    --import [essid|passwd] <file> :
Import a text file as a list of ESSIDs or passwords.
    --import cowpatty <file> :
    Import a cowpatty file.

    --export cowpatty <essid> <file> :
    Export to a cowpatty file.

THIS DOESNT CREATE MY testdb EVEN IF I CHECK MY /ROOT DIRECTORY SO WHAT I DO
    NEXT IS
    bt ~ # airolib-ng testdb --import essid ssidlist.txt
    Reading file...
    Writing...
    Done.
    bt ~ # airolib-ng testdb --import passwd password.lst
    3Reading file...
Writing...es read, 66434 invalid lines ignored.
    Done.
    bt ~ # airolib-ng testdb --clean all
    Deleting invalid ESSIDs and passwords...
    Deleting unreferenced PMKs...
    Analysing index structure...
Vacuum-cleaning the database. This could take a while...
    Checking database integrity...
    integrity_check
    ok
    Query done. 2 rows affected.
    Done.
    bt ~ # airolib-ng testdb --batch
Computed 19800 PMK in 261 seconds (75 PMK/s, 0 in buffer). All ESSID processed.
    bt ~ # airolib-ng testdb --verify all
Checking all PMKs. This could take a while...
    ESSID PASSWORD PMK_DB CORRECT
    bt ~ # aircrack-ng -r testdb psk*.cap
    Opening psk-01.cap
    Read 1589 packets.

    # BSSID ESSID Encryption

    1 00:1D:68:022:C5 h@ckm3 WPA (1 handshake)

    Choosing first network as target.

    Opening psk-01.cap

    This is an easy one.

If you look at my first post, I was using an older version of sqlite that whats out now. And with that version I need not to add the -- switches.

If you just run the command>>>

    airolib-ng testdb --init

it will create it. The newer versions of sqlite and the combo of the newer dev versions of the aircrack-ng suite is whats confusing you.

Remember this is a "old" video, and to get the results I got with the commands I used,...you'll have to use that older version of sqlite and that particular version of the dev aircrack-ng suite.

Glad I'm still teaching you new things samsung. Your doing just fine.

but I managed to work around it so Im well happy, I've started to import more password lists to my db & verifying them, slowly does it... oh & btw
