I use that SAME EXACT Linksys WRT54G v5 in ALL of my videos. If you can..Install BT2 on your HD..........or use shamanvirtuels method to save changes on a usb memory stick if you refuse to do a HD install. We got the SAME Linksys..so you shouldn't have any problem from it.

is associate thing a must option when you search for keys?
what is the best way if there are no clients, and you need to sniff the packets?
sorry mates, but i am very n00b at this thing(windowz to much hehhe)
If you want to inject, ie force the issue, then association is a must!is associate thing a must option when you search for keys?
You can passively "sniff" the network and get enough IVs that way, but that won't work unless there's a lot of traffic on the network...which there won't be without any clients.
Have you watched and followed Xploitz's video yet?
For what it's worth, your IVs file is so small because you probably haven't picked any up yet...so you'll need to force the issue by associating and injecting some packets. It's all there in the tutorial you initially linked to and in Xploitz's videos that he's posted...as well as god knows how many threads in these forums!!!
Just follow the whole process from start to finish, write down all the codes, (or print off the page for your tutorial), boot up BackTrack and type them all in one by one...but if you don't follow the whole procedure you're not going to get anywhere.
i watched his yes and also other vids i got, i think i got it now. but aircrack is very slow hehe, got 1.500.000 keys, tested 151.000ivs and still not find the password LOL
anyway, yesterday wasn't good day to test bcoz i have no clients to tried. now i got a a pc to try.
cheers![]()
I guess I need to post a video on E-Z Client Connected to AP WEP Cracking Tutorial next..lol![]()
