Boot on the USB/LiveCD and chroot in your Backtrack install, and run update-grub or grub-install(if first fails, try the second)
This way you will install grub in your MBR and if that was the issue it will boot again.
Hi fellow BT users...
I've installed BT5 R2 and everything went smoothly until the time to reboot...
When my system reboots, it hangs right after POST and my screen goes black and the mouse's cursor stays blinking for ever in the upper left corner of my screen...
what could be the problem? I've tried over 3 times the install of this OS and this problem doesn't get solved...
Someone told me that could be the MBR (Master Boot Record).
What can i do to try to get this problem solved???
My RIG is:
CPU: Intel E8400
MB: Asus P5K Pro
Video card: Sapphire HD 6870 Vapor-X and Sapphire X1950XT
HD 1: WD VelociRaptor 150Gb
HD 2: WD RaptorX 150Gb
HD 3: WD 1 TB
I think i don't have any hardware incompatible with Ubuntu/BT5 R2
