Default Too low sound in vlc

    Hi all

First of all i have to thank to moderators in here that they didn't approve my threads for not executing vlc in root cause
i fixed it.But i have new problem and i searched about it in google , forums , etc and nothing!so here's my problems:

As you know after backtrack 5 (i think) vlc doesn't execute in root so you have to change something for that to fix it.
i did it but when i want to watch a music video , movie , music , etc i can hear a toooooooo loud sound from my speakers.
A funny thing is that my speaker in Win can broke windows!
So what do you think?what do i do?

Also i installed vlc with apt-get commands and when it installed and open it the version of my vlc is 1.0.6!!!!!how can i update it to the latest version?

i really appreciate it to approve this!!!

@arsol76, Backtrack was not intended for multi-media usage such as movies, music, youtube, etc.
Having said that you will encounter many issues if you try to use Backtrack for such purposes, it was only created for the info-sec domain.
Back|track giving machine guns to monkeys since 2007 !

BT5 is for auditting isues. If you want to use a Linux OS as your main OS, all plugins (java, flash, codecs, etc), open office, media players, etc use Debian, Ubuntu, LMDE, Winbugs, Mac OSX, or any other OS....

You have options for running BT5: VM, Dual, tripple, quadruple, etc boot along with your main OS...Take this in mind..

    Luck....
