I'm trying to get my head round this. There are of course advantages and disadvantages of a disk install of BT and a VM install...however, which one is leaves a smaller footprint on a network that you are accessing?
As I see it, both installs of BT will leave similar signs, but will the VM install also show up as a Windows machine on a network, thus it will show as two devices? I'm guessing that the windows host will also potentially be talking to the network, arp replies, Netbios comms etc. Or have I misunderstood how VM works?
Once I connect the BT VM to a network, does the Windows VM host NOT connect, thus is effectively invisible?
