Question Unable to change root password on persistent live USB BT5 R2

    Hi folks,

I'm having a bit of trouble changing the root password on my persistent Live USB Backtrack 5 R2 (GNOME x32).
I have followed these instructions exactly:

    Code:
root@bt:~# passwd Enter new UNIX password: {enter your new password here } Retype new UNIX password: {enter your new password again} passwd: password updated successfully root@bt:~#
Everything goes well in the terminal however, upon rebooting I get stuck at the boot screen with a looping error:

    EXT2-fs (loop1): error: ext2_lookup: deleted inode referenced

I've installed it on a 16gb usb stick and reserved 8gb for persistent memory

Does anyone understand why this is happening.

Well, It seems to me like BT5 partition is bad...But why etx2? It should be ext4....BT5 uses ext4 filesystem...
