Boot freezed

Hi all I'm new at this forum and hope to post in the right section.
My issue is during the BT5 boot, while loading the system it stops at the same point and no way to reboot/unfreeze.. maybe a hardware incompatibility? My machine is a scaleo j siemens, pentium 4 processor, 1 gb ram, ati radeon x200 series integrated into the motherboard. How to do?

Here are some questions you need to answer that will help you troubleshoot. What version of BT5 are you using? Are you running BackTrack in a virtual machine? Is BT installed, or running from disc? Have you verified the MD5 hash to ensure your download is valid?

Well, version 5, BT5 running from usb pendrive. The download works well because I tryed it on another machine and BT is fully loaded.

Since the download works on another box, it must be some hardware incompatibility. I assume you've checked the hardware compatibility list forums for tips?

The website lists 5, 5r1, and 5r2 available for download. Which do you have?

There are differences between 5, 5r1, and 5r2. I'd try using 5r2, and see if that resolves your problem.

Well I have just worked out. It needed to add "acpi=off" just before "vga=.." in the boot options menu. Thanks anyway.
