i have laptop Toshiba Satellite
and my wireless adapter - Realtek RTL8187B 802.11 b/g

when click on wireless assistant
it show
"No usable wireless devices found"

in console i type iwconfig
no wireless extension


what should i do ?

You should give more info on your setup. Is it a hdd/usb install, VMware install or are you running BT4 from the LiveDVD?

hello i am new here too and i wanted to ask something too, about the adapter you specified.

first of all it would be good to know if you are using backtrack in VMware workstation for example or
not. also, is this a Usb adapter or not?

if you use vmware work station you must make sure that your wifi card is Usb..
if it is then go to VM->Removable devices-> and connect it to vmware..

also, i would really like to know if my wireless adapter which is the same as his (Realtek RTL8187B 802.11 b/g)
but mine is USB can work fully without any patching on backtrack 4 final which i run into Vmware workstation 7..

Try using MadWiFi drivers.
