    Default BT 5 R2 installation

    Hi guys..

    I am trying to install Backtrack 5 R2, but the installation stuck at Step 2, while chosing keyboard layout, I waited more than 20 min but doesnt go forward,

    I am using liveUSB, and installing as a dual boot with windows 7 on hdd

    any kind of help will be appreciated

    Are you using usb 3.0?, Did you check md5 on iso?, Are you using 32 or 64 bit BT5? Have you tried Live DVD?

    thanx for you reply, I did check MD5, it says CODE MATCHES

    and I used Kingston usb stick,

    while running the live mode, it works just fine, but I am not able to install it on harddesk, I tried several ways to solve the issue, I tried LiLi and unetbootin, but same problem

    try to install drom a rewittable DVD. it worked perfect on my PC.

    I am getting the same error. However, I believe my problem stems from the ancient hardware I am attempting to install on. I also had problems with the graphical installer for ubuntu when installing that, it hung at the same place. The text-based installer worked for my ubuntu install.
