    Default Logging into cracked WEP

Ok, i'm able to crack "my" WEP and get the key using airecrack-ptw, but i'm having a problem using that key to connect to the target AP.

    heres what commands i'm using.

So after i've obtained the key, i load up the ipw3945 drivers.

step 1. iwconfig eth1 essid dlink key C5 43 FB AA CA -- i don't know if i'm doing this wrong, but i'm under the assumption if I want to see what the key is in clear text to type in iwconfig eth1 and look at the encryption section to see what that key means. But it's always the last two characters of the key followed by a bunch of 0's. CA00-0000-00.

step 2. dhcpcd eth1 -- then after i try dhcpcd eth1 but nothing happens. Does this mean they do not have a modem connected to their router?

I'm just wondering what i'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't think of any Linux command right now that will take multiple arguments separated by spaces as if they were a single argument. But I'm getting old so it could be my brain not functioning right...

Hang on..... So it isn't Your Network after all.
If it was your network, you would know the answer to this.
