newbie question......!!!!

hi all......i read about backtrack and i am amaze of what backtrack can do and then i decided to install backtrack 2 final into my laptop.
my question is :
i have window xp installed in my laptop and i want to install backtrack 2 final too, so i have 2 boot.
i tried to install backtrack 2 final but when the installalion is finished the backtrack wont load.....?

can anyone tell me how can i install windows and backtrack 2 final in one hardisk...in newbie ways please...!!!!
