    Thumbs up penetration tester's open source toolkit

    if you have the means this is a great book to get a hold of you can of course get it from a few bit torrent sites but it is only 29USD for the download able PDF if you noob like me to linux and using it to test your networks security instead of windows this book will help out lot.

    That book is good but a little outdated. For current penn testing I HIGHLY recomend this book by Andrew whitaker. He is a true Guru of the ethical hacking field.

    Plus if you are a noob to linux what you should be reading is this

    As long as we are recommending books, Google Hacking for Penetration Testers by Johnny Long just had a second edition come out, and he and Kevin Mitnick have a book being released on social engineering in September. There is a sample chapter on johnny.ihackstuff.com

    Since we've started a book thread here is another good read for any one interested in pentesting. Thanks for the tip Prez Ive always loved that book and the other wireless ones synerges press puts out so Ill be looking forward to some updated material
