Default nub got issues installing bt2

    hey guys
i have been fiddling around with bt2 for bout a year now and i have finnally gotten my hands on a spare laptop hard drive so i decided to ditch the live cd and install it on the hard drive... only issue is that whenever i run the backtrack installer it goes uber quick and says all done but seems to not do anything whatso evr. i go and click the blue ball icon on the toolbar and then click removble media then click my hard drive and it says:

    could not mount device

    the reported error was:

mount:/dev/hda1 already mounted or /mnt/hda1 busy

mount: according to mtab,/dev/hda1 is already mounted on /mnt/hda1

ok so im not so sure what mounting is exactly (my theory is that mounting is putting a os on the drive considering this hard drive already has windows xp installed) but im keen to find out whats going on and any tips or code you have for me to run is very much appreciated

The above tells you all you really need to know about this error.

If you do not know what the command mount does then you should first go and read about linux in general so that you know what is going on.
I would suggest that you read here:
    http://www.linux.org/
This site has loads of info for the beginner and expert alike.
Some of it is very old and may be outdated though.

Then once you have some of the very basic info down.
Open a shell and type what is in the window below.
    Code:
     bt ~ # man mount
Then read and read and read !!

    also welcome to the forums.
To be successful here you should read all of the following.
    ForumRules
    ForumFAQ
If you are new to Back|Track

Failure to do so will probably get your threads deleted or worse.

If hda1 is already mounted, just write mount and find out where it's mounted!!!
